Shepherds who tended herds

exactly the kind of authentic Serbian fast food you can sample at
Čobanov Odmor. The traditional food of our grandfathers is prepared and
packed for quick use, and the modern and practical packaging preserves
the flavor and quality of these dishes.
Čobanov Odmor’s menu
features the famous all-in-one lepinja, somun specialties with cheese,
prosciutto from the town of Užice, “tobacco” pork cracklings, and
smoked beef sausage, as well as four types of rolled roasted meat,
rolled lamb giblets, bean stew, thick lamb and veal soup, sarma,
various Lenten and vegetarian dishes, and home-made cookies.
The
special advantage of our food is that it originates from the homestead,
from the Serbian mountainous regions, the rich and unique quality of
which is still protected from pollution and economic over-utilization.
The
traditional methods of preparation also contribute to the health
benefits of the food. Čobanov Odmor uses fresh ingredients that contain
no artificial additives. All food is prepared on the spot, and
home-cooked dishes are prepared on a daily basis. The roasted meat
varieties are prepared according to the traditional recipe, in covered
earthenware and in a brick oven fueled by beech wood.
