Čobanov Odmor – the first brand name of Serbian fast food

What we consider fast food in Serbia actually originates from the meadows.
Shepherds
who tended herds traditionally needed food they could “take away” to
the meadows. They ate meals that are easy to prepare and carry, that
don’t spoil quickly and are tasty and healthy. Since the
shepherds never came back from the meadows before sunset, they would
eat their flavorful lepinja filled with prosciutto, kajmak and gravy
under the cool shade of a tree.
After ten years of operation, the
Đuričić national cuisine restaurant launched its first (and presently
the only) brand name for authentic Serbian fast food – Čobanov Odmor,
thus creating a recognizable brand name that contributes to the
affirmation of Serbia and its traditional products.
Based on
the customs of the abundant areas of western Serbia, such as Tara,
Zlatibor and Povlen, Čobanov Odmor is reviving the tradition of making
kajmak, cheese, prosciutto, roasted meat and other specialties, and
offering products of long-standing quality and a unique taste. Our
concept of organic and high-quality food is intended for everyone’s
enjoyment, especially for the young, urban generation that wishes to
stay in close connection with its roots. The traditional food of our
grandfathers is prepared and packed for quick use, and the modern and
practical packaging preserves the flavor and quality of the dishes.
At
Čobanov Odmor you can enjoy an authentic village atmosphere in a log
cabin reminiscent of those typically found in the mountainous region of
western Serbia, and you will be served by staff dressed in Serbian
traditional costumes.
Our authentic Serbian fast food can be delivered on a daily basis between 9 a.m. and 1 a.m. to all areas of Belgrade.
We maintain excellent cooperation with a number of companies and organize the delivery of home-cooked meals to their employees.
Čobanov
Odmor also offers a specially-designed ethno-style catering service for
purposes of promotions, cocktails and cultural events.
